The East of England trainee cohort has a track record for achieving 100% pass rates in the GPhC registration assessment. Our trainees report high levels of satisfaction both for their hospital placement experience and the UEA training programme.

On-site support by highly skilled tutors and placement supervisors

You will be assigned a highly trained personal designated supervisors who will provide structure and support in all aspects of your training. You will also receive additional support from a placement supervisor who conducts on-site visits and oversees the quality of training for a cluster of hospitals within your area. Each hospital also has a dedicated experienced foundation training manager who will provide the overall direction for all trainee pharmacists within the trust.

Participation in the UEA training programme

The UEA training programme consists of a series of residential courses and a dedicated Virtual learning Environment on UEA Blackboard. The programme covers all the topics pharmacy graduates need to become registered pharmacists. We follow innovative learning approaches that support all learning styles and ensure that the programme is fully integrated with experiential learning at the placement hospitals
