Foundation training
We offer 7 placements (5 x 12-month and 2 split posts with the local CCG (6-month/6-month split).
Each trainee will have their own tutor and buddy who will be there for guidance and support throughout the year.
You will also have your own rotational timetable which will provide you with training in all the core areas of pharmacy as well as some specialised areas.

With over 100 staff, we are a core part of the diagnostic and clinical support division, providing various clinical, dispensary, technical and stores services for our patients.

Watford General Hospital is at the heart of the Trust’s acute emergency services – the core location for inpatient emergency care, and for all patients who need the specialist emergency facilities. It also provides elective care for higher risk patients together with a full range of outpatient and diagnostic services. There are c.600 beds and 9 theatres. Watford is also the focus of the Trust’s Women’s and Children’s services including neo-natal care. The Acute Admissions Unit provides an innovative model of care to accommodate an almost doubling of emergency activity.
